PRIEURE ROUGE 2023

Harvest at optimal ripeness. Our grapes are transported by conveyor belt to the vats.
Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 8 days followed by alcoholic fermentation for 10 to 15 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The marc is then decanted and the grapes are pressed pneumatically at low pressure.

A nose of beautiful intensity. The initial nose presents a sappy aspect. Then, notes of licorice and blackcurrant take over. Slightly spicier (clove) and warmer (chili) touches complicate the bouquet.
The palate is very supple and the tannins are silky. The balance shows character. Aromas of licorice and blackcurrant, found on the palate, bring creaminess and smoothness.

Serving temperature between 15   at 17°C.

When young, it will be enjoyed with grilled meats and cheese. After a few years, with red meats and game.

5 to 8 years depending on the vintage.
