Ageing: 8 months in stainless steel tanks, on the lees, with malolactic fermentation. Unfiltered.
Eye: ruby colour with mahogany highlights.
Nose: generous at first, with red fruit, strawberry and raspberry over a hint of tobacco leaf. With air, riper black fruit, blackcurrant and cherry come through, with spicy notes of clove and black pepper and a light powdery background.
Palate: round, supple attack. A fresh core of crunchy red fruit on the mid-palate. The finish returns to spice and tobacco.
Young, with grilled meat and cheese. After a few years, with red meat and game.
